In late June the Department of Health and Human Services released a batch of photos from inside the Homestead Temporary Shelter for detained unaccompanied minors. They are the first glimpse inside the former Job Corp center that was closed down after the brutal murder of an attending student by fellow students.

The children who are housed at the repurposed facility are awaiting a designation as to their immigration status.

The photos depict a facility dotted by minors in brightly colored standard t-shirts, rows of beds and aisles of cafeteria tables under a massive tent.
