The Miami Mega Fashion Expo is being developed as a platform for independent designers, models, stylists, fashion brands, vendors and creative artists looking for greater exposure in South Florida’s fashion and entertainment scene.

Created through iKandii Kollection Inc., the expo is designed to bring emerging fashion talent together for networking, visibility, mentorship and opportunity. Its goal is to give smaller and independent brands a space to be seen, connect with others in the industry and take steps toward larger professional opportunities.

For founder Cellita Ceran, the Miami Mega Fashion Expo is more than a showcase. It is intended to be a movement for creatives who are building their names, developing their brands and trying to find their place in a competitive industry.

Ceran, CEO and founder of iKandii Kollection Inc., launched her company in 2017. The brand primarily retails fashionable eyewear for the entire family and carries a mission of helping people “see clearly to a brighter future.”

That mission has since expanded beyond eyewear. Through the Miami Mega Fashion Expo, Ceran is working to create a space where designers, models, stylists, vendors and other creative entrepreneurs can gain exposure while also building relationships that may help move their careers forward.

Ceran developed the Miami Mega Fashion Expo in 2023 as an extension of iKandii Kollection Inc. The idea grew from her own experience as an entrepreneur, as well as her desire to help other creatives gain access to opportunities that can often feel out of reach.

Before entering the fashion industry, Ceran was known in her community as “The Candy Lady,” serving neighborhoods and building relationships with local families and youth. That part of her life inspired the name iKandii and became part of the foundation for her fashion brand.

Her journey into fashion was also shaped by personal loss. In 2021, Ceran lost her older sister, Jessica Ceran, to COVID-19. Jessica was not only her sister, but also the designer behind Ceran’s custom eyewear collection and a major inspiration for the brand’s creative vision.

After Jessica’s passing, Ceran began thinking more deeply about the future of her business and how it could honor her sister’s legacy while creating opportunities for others.

The Miami Mega Fashion Expo became part of that vision. It was created to uplift independent fashion brands and creative professionals while encouraging the next generation of trendsetters, designers, models and fashion entrepreneurs.

As Miami-Dade continues to grow as a hub for culture, art and style, events such as the Miami Mega Fashion Expo give local and regional creatives another avenue to be recognized. The expo’s focus on mentorship, exposure and collaboration reflects a broader push to make space for emerging voices in fashion.

General admission is listed at $40 at the gate. More information is available at MiamiMegaFashionExpo.com.
