About Us
Our story
Rooted here since 1912.
As South Dade has grown and changed, so has the way its stories are told. What hasn't changed is the importance of a newspaper that pays attention to the communities it serves.
Today, our reporting connects local government, schools, small businesses, history, sports and community life in print and online. The names and neighborhoods deserve more than a passing mention. They deserve coverage.

Our approach
Community-minded. Editorially independent.
We work to report fairly, check facts, distinguish news from opinion and correct mistakes when they occur. Advertising helps support a community newspaper, but paid placements and editorial decisions are separate. Our responsibility is to the people who read us.
