Meet The Newest Member of The Homestead City Council

Kimberly Konsky is the newest member of the Homestead Council, having won her election for Seat One.

She is a lifelong Homestead resident and a graduate of South Dade Senior High School. Konsky is proud of her volunteer work with local nonprofits, civic groups, schools, and organizations such as the Homestead Woman’s Club, as well as community events like the Homestead Rodeo, Rotary Seafood Festival, and Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast.

Konsky is a realtor at The Keyes Company and works closely with local families. She understands the challenges Homestead residents face with traffic, overdevelopment, and public safety.

Her goals include working with state and local officials to fix city traffic problems. She wants developers to contribute more toward roadway improvements rather than asking Homestead residents to shoulder the cost.

She believes it is important to clean up Homestead and make it a place where people want to visit, choose to live, and feel proud to call home. Konsky also wants to hire more police officers to keep neighborhoods safe.
