Keys Gate Charter K–12 announced that Alejandro Salgado has earned the highest score in the United States on the 2024–2025 AICE Spanish Language and Culture Examination, a rare academic distinction placing him at the top of all U.S. test takers.

The AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) program is internationally recognized for its rigorous standards, and earning the nation’s top score reflects Alejandro’s exceptional academic skill, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his academic achievement, Alejandro is actively involved in multiple school and community organizations, including Keys Gate Knights Around the World, CSUSA College Readiness Club, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, and Leo’s Club.

Alejandro’s Spanish Language and Culture teacher, Ms. Macique, praised his accomplishment, calling it “truly extraordinary.”

“There is no greater joy for a teacher than witnessing the exceptional achievements of their students,” Macique said.

“Alejandro’s highest score in the United States reflects his unwavering dedication, intellectual curiosity, and passion for learning. He consistently exceeds expectations and inspires those around him to strive for greatness.”

Daniel C. Verdier, Head of Schools, noted that “Alejandro’s success highlights both his personal perseverance and Keys Gate Charter K–12’s commitment to academic excellence and global preparedness.”

Alejandro plans to attend Nova Southeastern University in the fall of 2026 and major in finance.
