Homestead Con 2025 Brings Fans Together at South Dade High

Homestead Con 2025 brought a lively mix of comics, art, and fandom to South Dade High School on Sept. 13, drawing students, families, and visitors from across the community.

The event filled the school with vendors, artists, and cosplayers, creating a welcoming space for fans of all ages. Local creators set up tables to showcase their work, while attendees browsed collectibles, comics, and handmade crafts.

A highlight of this year’s convention was the appearance of voice actors from the hit animated series Villainous. Cindy Eliz, who voices Demencia, met with fans, signed autographs, and shared her enthusiasm for the character. Joining her was Yenni Ann, the voice of G-Lo, who also spent time with attendees and answered questions about her work. Their presence gave fans a rare opportunity to connect with talent from a popular series in a hometown setting.

Cosplayers added plenty of color and energy to the event, with both students and adults showing off costumes inspired by superheroes, anime, and video game characters. A costume contest brought out cheers and laughter, reflecting the community spirit of the day.
