Homestead Comic Con brought a colorful mix of comics, anime, collectibles and pop culture to South Dade over the weekend, drawing fans of all ages for a gathering centered on creativity, entertainment and community.

The event gave attendees an opportunity to meet artists, original creators, vendors and fellow fans while exploring interests ranging from superheroes and comics to anime and gaming.

Families, collectors, traders and longtime enthusiasts filled the two-room event. Many arrived in cosplay or wearing their favorite graphic T-shirts, adding to the convention atmosphere.

For attendees, the experience offered a chance to share interests and discover something new close to home. For participating artists and vendors, it provided an opportunity to connect directly with potential customers and supporters.

Events such as Homestead Comic Con add to the variety of entertainment and cultural experiences available in South Dade, giving residents more ways to gather without leaving the area.

Beyond the costumes and collectibles, the weekend offered something familiar at the heart of a community event: people finding common ground, supporting local vendors and enjoying time together.
