One thing I am learning from Sunset Eats at Palmetto Bay is that you should never assume a vendor setup means you are getting some tiny little tasting portion.

Fayemas Food apparently did not receive that memo.

I ordered the Mongolian beef with rice and cucumber salad, and before we even get into flavor, we need to address the amount of food I received.

They fed me. Properly.

There was enough in that container that what started as dinner turned into dinner again the following day. That immediately earns points with me because portions matter, especially when people are spending their money at markets and food events where prices can sometimes creep upward while portions somehow travel in the opposite direction.

That was not the case here.

More importantly, Fayemas did not use quantity as a substitute for quality.

The Mongolian beef was packed with flavor and properly seasoned throughout. There is a difference between food that has sauce poured over it and food where the flavor actually makes its way into what you are eating. Every bite had seasoning behind it, and there was enough depth that I never found myself reaching for anything to rescue the plate.

The rice gave all that flavor somewhere to land, while the cucumber salad ended up being more important to the meal than I expected. With something as rich and savory as Mongolian beef, that cool, fresh element helped balance the plate and kept everything from feeling too heavy.

Then came the real test: the leftovers.

Some meals are great the first night and become sadness once they hit the refrigerator.

This one survived.

I ate it the next day and still enjoyed it, which says plenty about both the seasoning and overall quality of the meal.

Fayemas Food delivered a complete plate: strong flavor, thoughtful sides and enough food that I essentially got two meals out of one order.

Foodie Verdict: Come hungry — or come prepared to have lunch tomorrow.
