Miami Southridge Senior High School continued its recent improvement Friday, October 9, defeating Everglades High School 45–0 in an impressive road victory.
The Spartans' performance marked their second consecutive win after defeating South Dade 23–22 in a closely contested game on October 1.
The back-to-back victories improved Southridge's record to 3–4 and provided a needed turnaround following a difficult stretch in September.
Southridge's defense was particularly effective against Everglades, recording a shutout while the offense produced its highest point total of the season.
The Spartans entered October having lost four of their first five games, including narrow defeats against True North Classical Academy and Mater Academy Charter.
Their recent results have helped the program regain momentum as the regular season approaches its final weeks.
Southridge is scheduled to face Dillard on October 23 and Miami Jackson on October 30.
