The South Dade Buccaneers continued their late-season turnaround Saturday, October 17, defeating the Miami Northwestern Bulls 30–16 in a Greater Miami Athletic Conference matchup.

Playing on the road, South Dade recorded its second consecutive victory and improved its overall record to 4–5.

The result followed the Buccaneers' 58–0 victory over Southwest on October 9, giving South Dade back-to-back wins after a difficult start to the season.

The turnaround has come during an important stretch of the schedule, with the Buccaneers facing several competitive Miami-Dade County programs.

South Dade's next scheduled game was Thursday, October 22, against the Miami Palmetto Panthers at South Dade Senior High School. The district contest was scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Buccaneers are also scheduled to face American Senior High School on October 30 as the regular season approaches its conclusion.
