During the NASCAR Championship 4 Media Day on Wednesday night, we were able to speak to Joey Logano about his preparations for the Ford EcoBoost 400.
Joey Logano is attempting to become the third youngest racecar driver to win the Sprint Cup Series Championship ever. He is facing stiff competition that has raced in big moments, such as this weekend. This is what he had to say regarding his experience compared to the other drivers in contention.
“I don’t really think that these guys have that much more experience at this level of pressure and where we’re at. No one has come into this race before as a championship leader, no one has come into it needing to just have a solid day and you’ll be the champion. The guys that have done it have been second or third coming into it, and they need to race really hard to try to get in, so that’s less pressure. Now we are all on an even playing field so they’ve never been in that situation, I’ve never been in that situation. I don’t believe there’s an advantage to anyone in that case.”
