Homestead Senior High School's football team faced another difficult matchup Friday, October 9, falling 48–8 to Miami Palmetto Senior High School.
The road loss dropped the Broncos to 1–6 overall and 1–4 in district competition.
Homestead has faced several challenging opponents this season, including Columbus, South Dade, Southridge and Coral Gables.
The Broncos' lone victory came September 17, when they defeated Southwest 46–7.
Despite the setbacks, the team continues working through its schedule as the regular season approaches its final weeks.
The Broncos are scheduled to host Miami Edison on October 23 before facing Archbishop Coleman Carroll on October 29.
For Homestead, the remaining games present opportunities to finish the season on a stronger note and continue developing players for the future.
