Arrested

Hilda Hall, President and Executive Director of the Business Technology Development Corporation (BTDC), was arrested early Thursday morning following a joint investigation by the Miami-Dade Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the State Attorney's Office.

The OIG initially received the complaint from the Miami-Dade County Department of Public Housing and Community Development.

During the ensuing investigation it was discovered that Hall-Denis had fraudulently obtained and misused public funds received from Miami-Dade County, the Homestead Community Redevelopment Agency (Homestead CRA), and the State of Florida Division of Blind Services.

Hall-Denis was arrested on 1 count of Organized Scheme to Defraud (felony in the first degree), 4 counts of Grand Theft (felonies in the first degree), 3 counts of Grand Theft (felonies in the second degree), and 3 counts of Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information (felonies in the third degree).

Stay tuned to the South Dade News Leader for more information as it becomes available.

It truly is about time. She is corrupt in the worst way... not that there is a good way to be corrupt, of course. :) For those who want to read more on her arrest, below is a link to the Miami Herald article. http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/07/17/4241085/homestead-non-profit-owner-accused.html#story_link=email_msg
