Why are you running for Palmetto Bay Council Seat 3?

Palmetto Bay is my home and where my wife and I are raising our children. I am a resident and homeowner first.

My stated reasons for seeking Seat 3 include protecting the community’s quality of life while preparing for its future, with attention to thoughtful growth, fiscal discipline, safer streets, communication, and effective Village government.

What are the three most important issues currently facing Palmetto Bay residents?

My three broad areas of concern are responsible growth and preservation of neighborhood character; traffic, drainage, and infrastructure; and public safety and responsible Village finances.

These issues are interconnected because development decisions can affect roads, drainage, municipal services, and long-term quality of life.

What experience best prepares you to serve on the Village Council?

I bring nearly 30 years of real estate, business and project-management experience involving budgets, contracts, development, and accountability.

I am also a Palmetto Bay homeowner, business owner and father raising my family here.

What would be your first major priority if elected?

My first priority is managing growth without sacrificing Palmetto Bay’s quality of life.

That means examining development together with traffic, drainage, infrastructure, public safety, and neighborhood compatibility rather than considering these issues independently.

How would you address concerns such as traffic, development, infrastructure, public safety, village finances and quality of life?

My stated approach is disciplined planning and informed decision-making.

Development should be considered alongside infrastructure capacity and traffic impacts, while public safety and essential services remain priorities.

Village finances require attention to budgets, contracts, accountability, and the long-term consequences of spending decisions.

How do you plan to remain accessible and accountable to residents?

I believe accessibility begins with listening and accountability comes from follow-through.

I want residents to feel comfortable reaching out to me, whether we agree or disagree. Just as importantly, I believe residents deserve clear explanations of decisions and honest answers when something cannot be accomplished.

I won’t always have the answer immediately, but I will listen, do the homework, and follow up. Public service should never create distance between a Councilmember and the people they represent.

What distinguishes you from the other candidates in this race?

Each person brings different experiences and reasons for seeking office.

My background includes nearly 30 years in real estate, business, and project management. My experience includes budgets, contracts, development, and project accountability.

I approach these issues not only professionally, but as a resident, homeowner, business owner, and father raising my family in Palmetto Bay.

My why is simply service.

Anything else voters should know?

Beyond my professional background, I am a husband and father, a longtime Palmetto Bay resident and homeowner, 24 years sober, a cancer survivor and a lifelong skateboarder.

Those experiences are part of my personal background and the perspective I bring to public service.
