South Dade is changing — and fast!

New development is coming in. Housing is expanding. Healthcare is growing. Downtowns are being reimagined. Transportation investments are moving forward. Businesses are opening, relocating and looking at South Dade differently than they did even a few years ago.

That is exciting. But growth by itself is not enough.

The real question is whether we are building the workforce, infrastructure and opportunities needed to keep up with it.

Can our businesses find the employees they need?

Can those employees afford to live here and reliably get to work?

Are our schools and training programs preparing students for the industries that are actually growing?

Are local businesses getting a real shot at contracts, redevelopment and new investment?

That is where I foresee the South Dade Chamber playing an increasingly important role. We do not need to have every answer, but we do need to stay engaged. We need to ask the right questions, bring the right people together and make sure South Dade businesses have a voice in the conversations shaping our region.

As we begin a new Chamber year, I want South Dade to be heard, be visible and be ready to pivot when needed.
