The Rotary Club of Homestead, now in its 101styear of service to the community, held its annual Stone Crab and Seafood Festival at Homestead Regional Park Saturday and Sunday March 7 and 8.
The Homestead Community came together on the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. They honored those who lost their lives on that day, and because of it. Five flags representing Homestead service men and women who lost their lives in the ensuing conflicts were ceremonially flown.
In the food game timing is everything says Soup Kitchen Director Jerry Cummings. If the Homestead Soup Kitchen can't store perishable foods it's a loss to the community. Thanks to Farm Share, the kitchen will have plenty of additional room for the mission of feeding those in need.
