Ronald, or RT as he liked to be called, was born on 5/2/36 and was in the first graduating class of South Dade High School, where he participated and excelled in baseball, football and basketball. After high school he attended Florida State University for a short time but left to pursue his passion and joined the minor leagues in Texas. After a short stint there, he decided to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corp, where he served at Camp Lejeune from 1956-1958.

Upon returning from the military, he farmed with his father for several years before pursuing a career as an electrician with Miami Dade County. He attended First United Methodist Church, where he served as a deacon and helped with the Food Bank.

Ron was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help. He loved to talk about and watch sports, especially anything Miami – Hurricanes, Heat, Marlins and Dolphins. He was an avid reader and loved to watch westerns.

As we say our goodbyes to him, we are reminded by the countless ways he has impacted our lives. With his kindness and laughter, Ron will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. At Ron’s request, there will be no services.
