Eddie Perez passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.
Eddie was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 27, 1949. His parents were Cosme T. Perez and Maria Anita Perez.
Eddie leaves to mourn, his wife Joyce Marie Bailey; brothers Cosme Perez (Esperanza) and Michael E. Perez (Ester); his surviving sisters are Lupe Rivera and Janie Martinez. He also had an older brother Joe Perez (Marsha).
Eddie had a big family of nephews, nieces, and cousins who respected him and loved him very much.
Eddie’s parents moved to Homestead when he was a baby in 1949.
He traveled with the family around the U.S. picking crops until he entered South Dade Senior High.
He then joined the Army where he had a 10 month stay in Germany. After returning from the service, he eventually found his passion for carpentry, where he became a master carpenter working on Palm Beach mansions.
On November 11, 1982, he married his sweetheart of 10 years, Joyce Bailey, and they decided to make West Palm Beach their home.
His love to attend family reunions was a big part of his life, he cherished those gatherings. Eddie’s other passion was following the Miami Dolphins, an avid fan since their inception in 1966.
Finally, Eddie served God during his lifetime; he knew that the way to heaven was through Jesus Christ.
A memorial remembrance will be on December 30, 2023, in Homestead, Florida.
