Angela Corrostieta and Connor Zanti each take 1st place in Drive, Chip and Putt Contest

First Tee is a national youth golf program, played locally at Redland Golf & Country Club.

Angela Gorrostieta, 14 years old, and Conner Zanti, 6 years old, both of Homestead, play with First Tee Miami Homestead-Redland.

Angela and Connor attended the Drive, Chip and Putt contest at the International Links of Melreese on June 24, 2017. They both placed first in their division which qualifies them for the Sub-Regional competition in August.

The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.

Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament.
