Charmaine Accursio Truitt

Charmaine Accursio Truitt passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2023, with her husband by her side.

Charmaine was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 5th, 1947 to Richard and Marlyn Accursio. Her family later moved to Homestead, Florida where Charmaine graduated from High School. She attended the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in elementary education in 1969. She taught elementary school in Miami.

Here she met Jim. In July of 1971 they were married and were later blessed with two sons, Jimmy and Todd. Charmaine and Jim moved to Stuart, Florida in 1977, where they raised their family.

Charmaine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She dearly loved her family and friends.

She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and served as a docent for the Martin County Court House Cultural Center. Charmaine loved playing the piano, decorative painting, painting with oils and watercolors on canvas, quilting and cooking.

Charmaine was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Marlyn. She is survived by her husband Jim, son Jimmy and his wife Laurie with grandsons Jimmy and Tyler, and son Todd and his wife Cindy with granddaughter Tinsley and grandson Todd. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy and his wife Patty.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, Florida on June 2nd at 2:00 PM. A reception will be held at the TradeWinds Island Grand Hotel on St. Petersburg Beach following the service.
