Caulion Singletary of Homestead, Florida passed away at the age of 83 years on November 9, 2017.

“Cal” was born on January 12, 1934 in Eastman, Georgia to Charlie and wife Cylester. He graduated from high school in 1951 and attended printing school in Macon, Georgia.

He joined the Air Force June 1, 1954 and served in Korea and was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged from service in 1957 at Homestead Air Force Base.

He owned a printing company, Chattan Press, for thirty five years in Homestead, Florida and then went on to become President of Florida Parks and Monuments Association.

He also owned Nature’s Images, a photography business that started as a hobby and turned into thirty years of photography work for Audubon Magazine. He traveled the world taking photographs of endangered species but his favorite place to photograph was in his own backyard, Everglades National Park.

Cal married Sharon Myers, the love of his life, on September 8, 1979. Together they raised Cal's son Scott Singletary and Sharon's daughter Dawn Armel.

In retirement he enjoyed reading and socializing with his friends and neighbors, however his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Cal is survived by his wife of thirty eight years Sharon, his son and step-daughter and three grandson's: (Robert) Eric Neuman Jr., Preston Neuman and Colton Singletary, his sister Jacqueline Steele and nieces Hope Landmesser and Dawn Rutland.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Capri Restaurant located at 935 N. Krome Ave, Florida City, Florida.
