The Iota Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. selected RobertRussaMotonElementary School as its 2014 Adopt-A-Classroom Grant Recipient.
Supplies donated to the school included printing paper, pens, pencils, crayons, coloring pencils, glue, scissors, duo-tang folders, erasers, highlighter, book bags, dry erase marker kits, loose leaf paper, spiral notebooks, composition tablets, index cards, and classroom instructional aids.
Robert Russa Moton is an arts magnet school whose curriculum infuses interactive, sensory experiences with traditional course instruction principles to enhance student learning outcomes.
MotonElementary School was selected from a number of community recommendations identifying it as an under-funded school in the area.
In total, the school received $1,000 in educational tools and resources.
