Miami-Dade Police is offering $6,000 for a tip leading to the arrest of those responsible for shooting an 11 year-old child.
Jamarie London merely stepped outside of this home to speak with his brother when a dark SUV drove up and began shooting.
Jamarie was hit in his upper torso. He was transported to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in stable condition. He survived, but police want to find those responsible.
The incident happened at SW 173rd street and SW 103rd avenue on Monday night just after 10 PM.
Instead of just relaying on the normal $1,000 reward for a tip that leads to an arrest, they have added an additional $5,000 from the “Stop Gun Violence Reward Fund” in order to fish out information.
Earlier this week over two dozen officers went door to door to make people aware of these rewards.
“We are allying with the community, getting the word out,” Major Samuel Bronson told the media.
“We are declaring that enough is enough, we are standing for Jamarie,” said Bronson.
