Fairclough Recognizes ‘Phenomenal Women’ Who Make an Impact

In commemorating Women’s History Month, Councilwoman Patricia Fairclough said, “I’m excited to recognize some phenomenal women in the community. March is Women’s History Month and it’s only fitting that we

recognize some leading ladies — women who have been very impactful in our community.”

She called each woman to the front of the Council Chambers and presented them each with a bouquet of red roses.

Individuals recognized included:

· Kerry Black, CEO, South Dade Chamber of Commerce

· Pastor Kay Dawson, Senior Pastor of Cathedral of Praise and President of the Miami Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta

· Nancy Garcia, City of Homestead Education Advisory Committee

· Bishop Irene Staggers Harris, Senior Pastor, Greater St. Matthew Holiness Church and President of Southeast Dade Ministerial Alliance

· Dr. Jeanne Jacobs, President of Miami Dade College, Homestead Campus

· Yvonne Knowles, Executive Director, Homestead Main Street

· Audelia Martinez, Chief Financial Officer, Le Jardin, Inc.

· Sue Newman, Real Estate Associate, The Keyes Company, and Board Member, This Is For The Kids, Inc.

· Janie Olivera, Assistant to State Representative Kionne L. McGhee
