Orchestra Miami’s Nicklaus Children’s Pinecrest Urgent Care Family Fun Series continues on Nov. 10th with Let’s Dance! Learn about the beautiful world of dance as The New World School of the Arts' New World Dance Ensemble and the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet present an engaging program in a variety of styles, performed by the talented students and recent alumni of this renowned program. The program includes an excerpt from the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet/New World School of the Arts production of The Nutcracker, as well as a new work, Chance of Thunder, created by Eduardo Vilaro, Artistic Director of New York City's Ballet Hispanico.  Also on the program is Lara Murphy's beautiful contemporary ballet for five women en pointe entitled At the Seams, set to a score by Max Richter. The program concludes with a powerful contemporary work by NWSA alumnus, Robert Battle, who currently serves as Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Company.  Let dance take you away in these exciting performances by the dazzling talent of these select students!

The concert is on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest, FL 33156. The performance lasts about 1 hour and is appropriate for children of all ages. Come early for the instrument petting zoo, courtesy of Allegro Music Center, and stay after for complimentary juice and cookies!
